Historic Hancock Springs Free Flow Pool, which was constructed in 1911, is still open to the public.
Open June - August: Thursday thru Saturday 12:00 noon - 7:00pm, Sunday 1:00pm - 6:00pm.
Gourman Falls Tours at Colorado State Park
Participants will caravan from headquarters to the Gorman area of the park and then hike to below the fallas. From the trail head, it's a one-and-a-half mile round trip over beautiful hill-country terrain.
Schedule
10 am and 2 pm Saturday, and 10 am Sunday, year-round, weather permitting.
Location
Colorado State Bend Park is located on the Colorado River approximately 10 miles above Lake Buchanan. Paved access is available to Bend from US Highway 281 and US Highway 183 at Lampasas, or US Highway 190 at San Saba, both via FM 580. From Bend there are 10 miles of unpaved road to park headquarters.
Tour Fee
$2 per adult, 6 through 12 years of age $1, under 6 years free. Park entrance and activity fee may apply. Reservations are not required. Special tours can be arranged by calling park headquarters at 915/628-3240.
Note: Substantial footwear with rubber soles is recommended. No pets allowed on tour. No restrooms or drinking water available in Gorman Falls area.
Wild Cave Tours (Walking & Crawling) at Colorado Bend State Park
Discover what speleologists (cavers) experience while exploring the underground world. The crawling tour takes you througth several relatively small and progressively more difficult caves. The walking tour takes you through Gorman Cave.
