The event kicks off Firday, April 6th through Saturday, April 7th at the Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden (Campbell Park) on Hackberry Street in Lampasas, Texas. Camp fires will be going and smoke will be curling up through the trees as 10 Authentic Competition Chuck Wagons gather to compete for Best Wagon, Camp and Top Cooking Honors. Friday, the wagon judging will start at 1pm and we invite everyone to come see the wagons. There is NO admission fee to walk around and observe how things were done during the catttle drive era.

Saturday, the wagons will be cooking for competition and the public. Tickets are required in order to enjoy the food and are $10.00 per person. Food will be served at noon and you can also enjoy live entertainment from 11am to 4pm. There will be old time Cowboys Music on stage along with two Cowboy Poets. Tickets go on sale starting March 1st and may be purchased locally at the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce, Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce and Lampasas Builder's Mart.

This is an awesome event for both the young, the old and the in between! It is very educational and tons of fun. So shine up your boots, dust off your hat, mark your calendars and plan on coming to Lampasas the first weekend in April.....we promise you won't be disappointed!
